Hungry Pt. Trailhead

Pt. Hungry Pets are welcome at Trailhead. The Hungry Point Trail is a gravel route that runs through the muskeg for over a mile (peat bog). It runs from the ballpark to Sandy Beach Road, a neighboring pet-friendly beach. This route provides a short hike that is easily accessible from town. Dogs on leashes are allowed as long as they are cleaned up after.

Raven's Roost Trailhead

It's a dog-friendly trek at Raven's Roost Trailhead. The Raven Trail is 4.2 miles long and begins near the State Run Sandy Beach Recreation Area on Sandy Beach Road. Hikers and their dogs are welcome to use the trail as long as they are leashed and clean up after themselves. The trail begins near the airport's east side. To get to the turnoff on the south side of the airport runway, take Haugen Drive or Sandy Beach Road. Keep an eye out for uphill trail signage. From the Twin Creek Road, hike or ski 5.4 kilometers up the underdeveloped and primitive Twin Ridge Ski Trail to reach the Raven Trail.
