University Hills is a wonderful neighborhood for pets. The Indy 500 Dog Park on California and Gabrielino is a great place for your dog to socialize. Indy 500 Dog Park is close to Petite Paws, a dog park just for little canines. The City of Irvine operates a no-kill shelter adjacent to the Central Bark dog park.

There are illuminated baseball diamonds, tiny soccer fields, and basketball courts in this large, grassy park.

A 36-acre park with illuminated sports fields, three pools, a playground, picnic area, and a community center is available.

This 5-acre park includes a playground, basketball court, and picnic areas with grills.

The Hicks Canyon Trail is a multi-use trail in Irvine that is perfect for walking Petzooie! A parking spot with easy access to the Hicks Canyon Trail is shown on the map below.

Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization working to establish a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors, supports the Venta Spur Trail, which is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by the group. This "rail-trail," which was once an abandoned railroad line, is now a terrific spot to walk Petzooie in Irvine! A parking lot with easy access to the Venta Spur Trail is shown on the map below.
