Hurkey Creek Park, in the San Jacinto Mountains, is 4 miles south east of Mountain Center, a small community off Highway 74. This lovely park is a large and remote retreat with plenty of delicious pine trees, a seasonal brook, various trails, and spectacular mountain views. The campground has a total of 130 campsites. Within the park, there is a seasonal watercourse. Lake Hemet is a great place to go fishing. Within the park, there are numerous hiking/biking paths. A one-mile walk will take you to a modest general store. There are also huge group sections at the campground, with five distinct loops that can accommodate 80-100 campers apiece. Hurkey Creek Park is a great place to visit if you enjoy being outside.Everyone will enjoy the fantastic outdoor excursions and stunning events, whether they stay overnight or visit for the day.

Palm View Peak Trail

Palm View Peak Trail is a challenging, but dog-friendly 8.6-mile climb in San Bernardino National Forest that will take Petzooie around 4 hours to accomplish. This may not be the trek for you if you want to hike to a mountain with a spectacular view. This trail is for those who want to enjoy a hike but don't require it to take them anywhere spectacular. The path to the top is a little difficult to identify, but with a map and some trail sense, you can find the peak and trail register. While on this trail, Petzooie must be leashed.
