Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization working to establish a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and linking corridors, supports Hermosa Valley Greenbelt, which is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by the group. This "rail-trail," which was once an abandoned railroad line, is now a terrific spot to walk Petzooie in Hermosa Beach! A parking lot with easy access to the Hermosa Valley Greenbelt is shown on the map below.

Redondo Beach Dog Park

The Redondo Beach Dog Park is a 3-acre park located at Dominguez Park's northern end. A turfed and fenced dog run with distinct spaces for large and small dogs is part of the facility. Benches and drinking faucets are available for both dogs and their owners. Except on Wednesdays, when it is closed until noon for repair, the park is open from sunrise to dark every day.

Polliwog Park Dog Run

The Polliwog Park Dog Run is located near to Begg Field on the west end of Polliwog Park. The largest dog run in Manhattan Beach, at 5,900 square feet. At any given moment, there should be no more than two dogs in the run. Please leave the run after no more than 15 minutes if others are waiting. Dogs are allowed on leash in designated pathways that run parallel to Begg Pool and the soccer field.
