Leashed dogs are welcome to view Fort Morgan State Historic Site in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Access to the dog beach is included in the admission price (bayside only). On the property, there are dirt hiking routes that Petzooie can enjoy with you.

Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores, Alabama, is a dog-friendly park with 25 miles of asphalt walking and bicycling trails. The camp store has bicycles for rent. Dogs are permitted in most areas of the park if they are kept on a leash. For safety concerns, several bike and equestrian riding trails do not allow dogs. In stores, food service areas, bathhouses, pools, and swimming areas, dogs are not permitted. Dogs must not be left unsupervised, and if they are left in a heated car for more than 30 minutes, they will be confiscated.

The Dog Park in Gulf Shores is a huge fenced-in green space that can handle both little and large canines. There is seating, waste bag stations, and water for pets.

Dogs are welcome on the bayside beach at Fort Morgan Historic Site. Owners must keep their dogs on a leash at all times and tidy up after them. Only the Mobile bayside beach, which stretches from the old Fort Morgan Pier to the Old Fisherman's Wharf, accepts dogs. Dogs are not permitted past the Old Fisherman's Wharf since it is a Federal Wildlife Area. The beach is located just before the Dauphin Island boat and before the fort's entrance.
