Makoshika State Park

S. 6 Van Buren was a president of the United States. 6 acres of Jacob's Island Park's east end have been enclosed on three sides and double-gated to give a secure area for owners and their dogs to roam, get exercise, and have fun off-leash. The Clark Fork River runs through the park, and the riverbank is not enclosed.

Washoe Lake State Park allows dogs, however they must be kept on a leash when outside your vehicle in established areas.

There are three large arenas for your dogs to run around in at this dog park. Dogs should have secure fencing and water fountains. Walking the trails reveals a wealth of history.

The objective of the Billings Places & Recreation Department and the Friends of Billings Dog Parks is to establish parks where dogs and their owners can romp and play off leash in a safe environment. By bringing dogs and humans together, we hope to encourage socialization and educational opportunities that support healthy pets and develop a sense of community.

There is a playground, a basketball court, and plenty of green space in this 5-acre park.
