North Gatlinburg Park

A park containing a playground, pavilion, and various athletic courts for youngsters.

A covered pavilion is available at all City Parks and can be reserved by calling the Recreation Department at (865) 436-4990. Gatlinburg residents have free access to the parks thanks to the city.

The Gatlinburg Trail (a 1.9-mile hike from the Sugarland Visitor Center to the outskirts of Gatlinburg, TN) and the Oconaluftee River Trail are both dog-friendly in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (a 1.5 mile hike from the Oconaluftee Visitor Center to the outskirts of Cherokee, NC). Please note that dogs are not allowed on any of the park's other trails. Dogs are allowed in the campgrounds, picnic areas, and along the roadways, but they must always be on a leash. Your pets should be well-behaved, as in most parks, and you should always pick up after them.
