This 520-acre roadside park in rural Marengo County is nestled away along U.S. 43. The dog-friendly Chickasaw State Park is ideal for family gatherings or as a base camp for your Black Belt excursion, with modern campsites, a wading pool, rental pavilions, playground equipment, and plenty of green space. Most park areas allow dogs as long as they are leashed. For safety concerns, several bike and equestrian riding trails do not allow dogs. In stores, food service areas, bathhouses, pools, and swimming areas, dogs are not permitted. Fido cannot be left unsupervised, and if left in a hot car, he will be confiscated.
