Spike's Desert Dog Park in Needles, California, is a dog-friendly, fenced dog park that was proudly developed by committed volunteers. It is quite clean, features grass and trees, water, a large shelter, benches, waste bags, a BBQ, picnic table, and a fire hydrant water fountain that can be controlled by a timer that people may manage. It is located near the city's recreation facility (down the street from the pool). Both humans and dogs will find lots of shade, as well as plenty of area to chase balls and run around. There are no distinct spaces for large and little dogs, which is the sole drawback.

Petzooie is permitted in some areas of Joshua Tree National Park, which is home to two separate desert ecosystems: the Mojave and the Colorado. Pets must be kept on a six-foot leash at all times and are not permitted on any trails or in the wilderness. Dogs are allowed to explore picnic spots, highways, and campgrounds, but they must stay within a hundred feet of them. Dog owners should clean up after their pets and bring plenty of water with them, according to the National Park Service. Year-round, Joshua Tree National Park is open twenty-four hours a day; however, some portions of the park are only open during the day.

Calico Ghost Town near Yermo, California, is a dog-friendly old West attraction where visitors may go through an actual mine, pan for gold, and view the Mystery Shack. Fun for all ages, both humans and canines. Petzooie is invited to join you in the saloon, gift stores, and even the train ride tour! Dorsey's Dog House shop, which is located within the village, sells everything from accessories to nutritious snacks and treats.

Dog areas, children's play equipment, toilets, and a shaded picnic bench are all available at Essig Park in Yucca Valley, CA. The park's dog park is divided into two sections: one for tiny dogs under 25 pounds and another for larger dogs. A drinking fountain for people and a doggie drinking fountain are positioned on both sides of the park, as well as a bench on either side.

The 11.6-mile Sugarloaf Mountain Trail in San Bernardino National Forest is dog-friendly and tough. Hiking this summit, which is the highest outside of the National Forest, does not require a permit. This walk will take you through the alpine forest on a rocky path. Bring plenty of water and inspect Petzooie's paws on a regular basis. Due to weather circumstances, this location may be closed for the season. During the winter, the parking lot is closed, but you can park on 38th Street, which is two miles away.
