Sycamore Shoals State Historic Park

Between April 1 and October 15, dogs are not permitted on national park beaches. They are allowed on the walking paths (excluding the Greenwich Dunes Trail) and in other areas of the park, but they must be restrained by a three-metre leash.

Exhibits on 18th-century history, as well as a walk with signs chronicling local events.

Since the beginning of East Tennessee, the Laurels have been a popular destination. It was a typical evening layover for North Carolina farmers on their way to Johnson City markets.

With campgrounds and picnic areas, this mountain reserve is famed for hiking, wildlife, and whitewater rafting.
