Strachauer Park

The Parks & Recreation Department strives to be known as Minnesota's premier parks, recreation, and trail system, offering unequaled opportunities to improve Edina's quality of life by promoting the health and well-being of our residents, community, environment, and economy.

The city's principal off-leash dog area (OLA), which opens at 6 a.m., is also located in the park. until 10 p.m. While in the OLA, dogs must wear a specific collar that identifies them as leash-free permission holders. Collars are available for purchase online.

A vast grassy space, hills, a separate gated area, trees, and even a pond make this 25-acre site a dog's dream. Please notice that the pond is not totally surrounded by the perimeter fence. 

This enclosed dog park, which includes a separate section for smaller dogs, is ideal for off-leash play. Permits can be obtained at the city inspections desk.

At this enclosed dog park with magnificent trees for shade, pets enjoy playing off-leash. A city permit is necessary.
