Toad Hollow Dog Park

All dogs must be kept on a leash throughout the city of Davis, unless they are on private property or in a designated off-leash area. Numerous parks and greenbelts in Davis have exercise areas where you can let your dog off the leash as long as it remains under your supervision.

The Parks and Community Services Department's objective is to provide a varied range of programs, services, and recreational facilities to Davis residents and tourists in order to improve their quality of life.

Unlike many dog parks, this one does not have a well-kept lawn. We mow the dog park as needed throughout the year, however the grasses may be longer at certain periods of the year. Due to ground squirrel activity, the ground may be uneven and there may be huge holes throughout. The squirrels are persistent, so we patch in huge holes as needed. Please be cautious of your steps and keep an eye on your dog at all times.

On-leash pets are welcome at this large park, which is a favorite among local dog trainers.

In the designated off-leash area at the southern end of this popular Davis park, pets are welcome to get some off-leash exercise, but be cautious because the area is not enclosed.

Bring your dog to the authorized off-leash area of this public park, but be cautious because the area is not gated.
