It was built by the Township's Public Works Department with a $45,000 lead donation from the Cranberry Rotary Club, and it includes separate off-leash running areas for large and small dogs, as well as a second fenced space for large dogs to allow for rotation of active play areas so that the fields can recover from wear and tear.

It was less expensive to construct than arch supported bridges. Martins Mill Bridge is 205 feet long in total.
