Lake Lurleen State Park
Lake Lurleen State Park in Coker, Alabama, is a dog-friendly park with more than 23 miles of multi-use trails ranging in difficulty from easy to moderate. Hikers and mountain bikers alike may enjoy the trails that hug the shoreline of Lake Lurleen. A Nature Center, fishing, meeting facilities, paddleboats, swimming, and a beach are all available at the park. Dogs are allowed in most areas of the park if they are on a leash. For safety concerns, several bike and equestrian riding trails do not allow dogs. In stores, food service areas, bathhouses, pools, and swimming areas, dogs are not permitted. Dogs must not be left unsupervised, and if they are left in a heated car for more than 30 minutes, they will be confiscated.
