Carthage Municipal Park

The Missouri Department of Conservation and the City of Carthage jointly administer Kellogg Lake, a 25-acre Community Assistance Program lake.

The Battle of Carthage State Historic Site, located in Carthage, Missouri, is a state-owned property. The 7.4-acre site retains one of the skirmish locations from the Battle of Carthage, one of the first conflicts of the American Civil War, which took place in 1861.

Vision Carthage, in conjunction with the City of Carthage, the Carthage Water & Electric Plant, the Parks Department, and the Carthage Police Department, is pleased to announce a partnership for the renovation of two city parking lots located at 6th and Main and 5th and Grant Streets.

The Liberty Dog Park has three acres of fully fenced space for dogs to run about in, as well as a 5,400 square foot section for smaller dogs. On the east side of Liberty, the Liberty Dog Park is located in Stocksdale Park.

This is the 2. The 5-acre property is separated into three portions. Please pay attention to the signs before entering since two portions are designated for either large dogs or small dogs and are cycled on a regular basis to help conserve the turf.
