1. Pooch Park in the Pines

Moore Humane Society and a group of dedicated volunteers dubbed "Pooch Park Partners in the Pines" collaborated on Pooch Park in the Pines, a 3 1/2-acre enclosed park.

2. Battle of Carthage State Historic Site

The Battle of Carthage State Historic Site, located in Carthage, Missouri, is a state-owned property. The 7.4-acre site retains one of the skirmish locations from the Battle of Carthage, one of the first conflicts of the American Civil War, which took place in 1861.

The Missouri Department of Conservation and the City of Carthage jointly administer Kellogg Lake, a 25-acre Community Assistance Program lake.
