At the Calistoga Visitor Center, located at 1133 Washington Street in the heart of town at the northern end of Napa Valley, pets are always welcome. This is a great place to learn about pet-friendly lodging - 17 of Calistoga's lodging properties welcome pets, ranging from b&bs to luxury resorts - as well as pet-friendly wineries, hiking trails, and other activities. Water bowls may be found all along Lincoln Avenue in the downtown center, which is highly pet-friendly.

Pets are welcome on the Oat Hill Mine Trail. On this lovely hike, you and your pet may take in the stunning views of California Wine Country. Pets are allowed off-leash if they are well-behaved and any messes are cleaned up. The Oat Hill Mine Trail is open from sunrise to sunset every day of the week.

Pets are welcome at California's Old Faithful Geyser. You're welcome to bring your leashed dog on the paths and around the grounds of this museum, farm, and attraction, which is one of only three "reliable" geysers in the world that routinely erupts every 15 to 30 minutes. The California Old Faithful Geyser is open every day of the week from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
