Russell Cave, once home to prehistoric peoples, is now an archaeological site and historic monument that houses the most comprehensive record of prehistoric cultures in the Southeast. A museum, bookstore, and nature walks are all located on the property. Demonstrations of prehistoric artifacts and weaponry are offered, and the park hosts an annual Native American Festival. Dogs are welcome in the park, but they must be kept on a leash at all times and their owners must clean up after them. They invite Petzooie to join the Bark Ranger program while she is there. During your visit, you will discover what each letter in B.A.R.K. stands for and will practice these lessons.
