Alaska Railroad
The Alaska Railroad welcomes pets. The main line of the Alaska Railroad runs 470 miles from Seward to Fairbanks, linking settlements throughout Southcentral and Interior Alaska. The Alaska Railroad runs all year, with seasonal schedules varying: the busy summer season runs from mid-May to mid-September, while the quieter winter timetable runs from mid-September to mid-May. Pets are only allowed onboard in the baggage compartment and must be in a kennel that has been certified by the airline. When disembarking at the Spencer Glacier Whistle Stop, kennels can be left adjacent to the train and picked up when you return.
