The Blacksburg Dog Park welcomes pets. Bring your dog to this fenced park to play off leash with other dogs in the area. The park includes a covered structure with benches, a dog house, shady trees, and waste bags for owners to enjoy on rainy and sunny days. Dog owners are encouraged to tidy up after their pets and plug in any holes that they may dig while at the park. The Blacksburg Dog Park is open from daybreak to sunset every day of the week.

Ball field, multifunctional basketball/tennis court, picnic shelter, bathrooms, swings, climber, merry-go-round, steel spectator stands with aluminum foot and seat boards, seating capacity about 30 near Chatham Heights Road and Garden Lane (9 acres). We charge $30 for a half-day and $50 for a full-day rental.

Raleigh Court Park, located behind Woodrow Wilson Middle School, offers baseball, basketball, football, and tennis grounds and courts. The playground and swings are near the school's base, while the fields run the length of the park, including a baseball diamond at each end.

Vic Thomas Park, which is located on the Roanoke River Greenway, has a variety of art that floats across the park's wild grasses and flowers. It's also one of the few parks with workout equipment along the Roanoke River greenway's loop, which leads into Wasena Park. Vic Thomas Park is also close to Black Dog Salvage, a well-known Roanoke location with its own TV show.

Hike and bike trails, a playground, tennis, disc golf, and picnic spaces are all available at this large natural park.
