Yolo County Animal Services Shelter

Through the rescue, rehabilitation, and placement of abandoned and neglected animals into permanent homes, Rotts of Friends is a nonprofit organization with a stated mission to inform the public and discourage irresponsible animal ownership and breeding.

The Cats About Town Society collaborates with two animal shelters to take in cats that are about to be put to sleep. We take in cats because we have room and foster parents who can support us. The public frequently comes up to us asking for help with found or abandoned cats and kittens.

A 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, Vintage Pug Senior Sanctuary is dedicated to the rescue, retirement, and hospice care of unwanted or abandoned senior pugs.

The Front Street Animal Shelter is open every day from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 2127 Front Street (with Broadway as a cross street). We welcome walk-ins. For speedier service, appointments can be made.

Through a thorough adoption procedure, Homeward Bound finds Goldens safe, loving homes and also offers lifetime sanctuary to those who cannot be adopted. Since its inception, we have aided more over 9,100 dogs in returning home.

Through emergency housing, disaster relief services, financial help, and education, it is our objective to save animals from dire situations and to develop the relationship between humans and animals.
