Forsyth Humane Society

The goal of the Animal Adoption and Rescue Foundation (AARF) is to enhance the lives of dogs and cats while fostering the relationship between people and animals.

In regards to responsible pet ownership, the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office Animal Service Division offers services to county residents. Animal welfare, cruelty, neglect, and rabies enforcement are all regulated by the Animal Service Officers under NC State law and Forsyth County ordinances. To ensure the happiness and safety of our furry friends, we also collaborate with numerous animal welfare organizations.

The 501(3)(c) non-profit organization Labrador Rescue of North Carolina, Inc. is run entirely by volunteers and is dedicated to helping neglected, unloved, or abandoned purebred Labrador Retrievers find loving homes.

By encouraging more adoptions, promoting spay and neuter programs, and giving low-income pet owners access to our food pantry, the Humane Society of Davie County (HSDC) is dedicated to lowering the number of animals put to death in our neighborhood.

We believe dogs and cats, as well as other creatures, should be treated with care and compassion. They feel agony. When they are neglected, abused, or merely ignored, they suffer both physically and mentally.

In 2005, The Shelter initially became accessible. Our facility has 21 dog kennels, 3 outdoor dog kennels, 21 cat kennels, an isolation/quarantine room with space for 20 more cats or 6 more dogs, and the "Catty Shack," an area for adoptable cats with space for 12 cats.
