Humane Society-Davidson County

The Davidson County Animal Shelter is a free-to-the-public facility supported mostly by contributions and the Davidson County government. We were founded as a shelter to care for, feed, and shelter stray, hurt, abused, or unwanted animals in this community. The goal of the shelter is to reunite missing pets with their rightful owners and provide abandoned and mistreated animals a second opportunity at long, healthy lives in secure, loving homes.

The 501(3)(c) non-profit organization Labrador Rescue of North Carolina, Inc. is run entirely by volunteers and is dedicated to helping neglected, unloved, or abandoned purebred Labrador Retrievers find loving homes.

The goal of the Animal Adoption and Rescue Foundation (AARF) is to enhance the lives of dogs and cats while fostering the relationship between people and animals.

Forsyth County is resuming control of the cats and dogs at the County Shelter on April 1st, as Forsyth County Manager Dudley Watts said in a media release yesterday at 4:25pm.

The Davie County Animal Shelter, adoptions from the shelter, and all county Animal Cruelty Investigations are under the purview of Davie County Animal Services. Our staff looks into any reports of hurt dogs, cats, damaged animals, and rabies control.

A non-profit, 501(c)3 organization that rescues unwanted animals (mainly dogs) in Rowan County, Salisbury, North Carolina. a significant portion of our animals are last-day urgent canines that arrive from the high-kill Rowan County Animal Control facility.
