Humane Society of Kandiyohi & Meeker Counties

The Humane Society of Kandiyohi & Meeker Counties holds that the relationship between people and animals is special and reciprocal, and that this relationship can have a significant and good impact on society. Due to this conviction, we offer a secure haven for lost and abandoned animals while they wait to be placed in a suitable permanent home.

We are committed to providing veterinary care, shelter, and adoption services for mistreated, abandoned, or unwanted animals in the McLeod County region.

Our aim is to assist pets in need in our town and the surrounding areas through sheltering, adoption, education, spay/neuter, and community outreach. The Pope County Humane Society was founded in 1985 and incorporated in 1987.

Through information, advocacy, and sheltering lost and abandoned animals until they may be brought back home or found a new forever home, we foster empathy and care for these creatures.

Green Acres Animal Rescue is a Saint Augusta, Minnesota-based nonprofit 501c3 organization that was founded in February 2020. Because they depend on their "parent" to give them with food, shelter, a warm place to sleep, and time to play, we think that animals are similar to children in this regard.

All seniors are welcome to get hospice and rescue care from us. We feel that all seniors deserve a second opportunity and do not discriminate against any breeds, illnesses, manners, or past.
