Since our organization's establishment in 1995, Caring About The Strays (C.A.T.S.) has sought to locate "forever homes" for companion animals that have been abandoned, rejected, neglected, or abused in the Pascack Valley region.

A small group of concerned Golden Retriever breeders and owners founded Golden Re-Triever Rescue Inc. in 1997 after coming together previously for the same goal. to locate long-term, devoted homes for Golden Retrievers that are in need of adoption in New Jersey. Since then, the Golden Retriever Rescue of Northern New Jersey (GRRI-NJ) has successfully dedicated itself to this objective, finding homes for more than 1035 Goldens in New Jersey, Westchester County, NY, and Rockland County, NY.

The goal of Halfway Hounds is to provide abandoned dogs who are adoptable a new lease on life when they have exhausted all other options or time.

As a 501c3 nonprofit organization devoted to assisting all animals in finding peace, we are Buddy's Rescue. Freddie & Chantalle, who are committed to aiding any animal in need, formed Buddy's Rescue Inc.
