The Trixie Foundation

The Lawrence County Humane Society is the organization that owns and runs the animal shelter. Founded in 1995 with the goals of reducing animal suffering, eliminating cruelty to animals, and promoting humane education.

Finding secure and devoted homes for the animals in our care is something we at AARF are proud to do.

The Boyd County Animal Shelter, which is in Ashland, Kentucky, is where strays and animals up for adoption are housed.

A zero-euthanasia standard is what we strive for at Tri-County Animal Shelter. We rely on you, the general public, to assist us in achieving this goal by spaying and neutering your pets and by immunizing your puppies and kittens.

Our goal is to offer sheltering services for Johnson County, Kentucky's priceless stray, abandoned, and mistreated animals. We work to promote stronger animal protection laws and educate the public on the value of spaying and neutering animals.

In order to care for and protect canine animals, whether wild or domestic, in the local and surrounding areas of Greenup County, Christine Berkley founded the AWLGC as a non-profit organization in 1975.
