The Chequamegon Humane Association is devoted to raising the standard of living for stray animals. The staff and board of directors genuinely hope that you will work with us to keep our neighborhood a better place for all pets and their owners.

The Northwoods Humane Society (NHS) was founded with the purpose of giving abandoned animals a safe haven. NHS will endeavor to place animals in suitable homes, offer medical attention as necessary, and work to socialize and train them to be more successful in a household environment.

The Society's goals include the elimination of animal suffering, the promotion of humane education, and the prevention of cruelty to animals.

Only dogs from within the confines of Sawyer County are accepted at the dog pound. Before delivering a stray dog, kindly check with the pound to see if there is room.
