Clatsop County Animal Shelter

The non-profit Clatsop Animal Assistance, Inc. (CAA) is devoted to promoting and meeting the needs of the homeless animals housed at the Clatsop County Animal Shelter.

Lee Blackmon developed Animal Haven By The Sea in 2011 to meet the needs of animals in North Tillamook County. This big, rural county comprises 1133 miles and has a population of slightly over 25,000 people.

Displaced Pets Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the rescue of Pomeranians and other small breeds in Northwest Oregon and Washington. Our objective is to assist Little Dogs weighing less than 10 pounds, whether they come from a shelter or an owner surrender.

"We are a non-profit dog rescue in Tillamook to assist our community in reuniting with their lost dog. We are strictly law enforcement, canines at large, owner goes to jail or hospital, and we do not accept owner surrenders."

To improve the lives of animals by providing progressive sheltering, rescue, medical treatment, adoption, spaying and neutering, education, protection and defense against cruelty, and promotion of the human-animal link.

The Holsheimer-Lamar Memorial Shelter at 2084 Oregon St. in St. Helens serves as both the county's dog control facility and office. Only by appointment, the shelter is accessible.
