The Henderson, North Carolina-based Ruin Creek Animal Protection Society is committed to protecting seized dogs, cats, and other adoptable animals from the Vance County Animal Shelter's euthanasia.

With the ultimate goal of lowering the high euthanasia rate in Vance County, the team at the animal shelter works to inform the public about the advantages of spay and neuter programs.

"PetFinder" is a searchable online directory of pets in need of permanent homes. Almost 11,000 animal shelters and pet adoption organizations are listed in the listing as well. The goal is to raise the status of pets to that of a "family member" and to improve public awareness of the availability of adoption pets.

In an effort to aid the numerous unwanted, abandoned, and abused animals in North Carolina and the surrounding areas, we established our rescue.

The Nash County Animal Shelter often reunites pets with their families and works to find homes for animals.
