Dog Pound

We take care of the animals temporarily kept there in addition to our duties as animal control officers and maintain the animal shelter.

The Meriden Humane Society is a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter and rescue facility that was established in 1893.

By encouraging the adoption of unwanted and abandoned animals and offering those animals medical care, including spaying and neutering, we are committed to assisting in the prevention of animal abuse and cruelty.

In order to help homeless, abandoned, and surrendered cats and dogs find loving, long-term homes, The Animal Haven, a no-kill animal shelter in North Haven, Connecticut, offers them a compassionate haven.

The Purr Project, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization (33-117336) whose main goal is to provide injured, abused, and/or neglected cats with second chances by placing them in safe homes.

A 501(c)3 nonprofit group called Halfway Home Rescue Inc. is committed to saving the lives of hundreds of abused, abandoned, and homeless animals every year, both locally and internationally.
