Jefferson County Humane Society

The goal of this organisation is the elimination of suffering and the avoidance of animal cruelty. The promotion of humane education among animals.

Our goal is to prevent animal neglect, abuse, and exploitation while also finding them loving homes for adoption and reducing pet overpopulation through public awareness campaigns and a robust spay/neuter program.

We have built a place where cat lovers can congregate. We hope that we have been successful in creating a happy, welcoming environment where members of the public, volunteers, and C.A.T. supporters want to visit and feel welcomed.

In Topeka and Shawnee County, "We're the place for you to reclaim lost pets, adopt a new pet, bring in stray animals/pets you can no longer care for, shop for pet supplies, attend dog training classes, and more!"

Since 1991, Leavenworth County's animals have benefited from LAWS, a 501 (3)(C) non-profit organization run by devoted volunteers. Donations are our only source of funding.
