St Francis Animal Sanctuary

The magnificent pine woodlands of Mississippi's Caledonia, MS, are the home of Cedarhill Animal Sanctuary. We have a strong commitment to helping rescued animals, both domestic and exotic.

A small group of concerned citizens took on the care of a few animals in 1953 after their owners left them behind. We don't have any records of how long this effort took or how it was completed.

In order to assist stray dogs (homeless dogs) in meeting their basic needs until a permanent, loving home could be found for them, the Dog Lovers' League was founded. Even though we are aware that it is impossible to assist all pets, we are also aware that those we are able to assist value our assistance enormously.

No sum is too little! No sum is too large! Every donation ensures that our rescue organization can take care of the stray and needy animals in our neighborhood.

The Amory Humane Society has dedicated itself since 1983 to eradicating animal suffering and advancing a better way of life through adoption, foster care, and education. Animals in need of a permanent home are housed in our facility.

Our main goal is to have the greatest possible good impact. The energy we require is provided by our volunteers and members. We take steps that have a long-term impact using community-driven models.
