In 1999, the initial Green Hills Animal Shelter Committee was established. By the year 2000, the organization had developed into a 12-member Board of Directors and had become a federal non-profit corporation. The time since then has been active. Building plans and designs for a new building were made, grants were written, and money was gathered.
