Pennington County Humane Society

A 501(c)3 no-kill charity, Scruffy Tails Humane Society focuses on finding homes for unwanted and homeless cats and dogs. Our goal is to promote the human-animal link via community education, assist in the reunion and rehoming of cats and dogs, and offer secure shelter when necessary.

In Bemidji, Minnesota, there is a shelter for dogs and cats called Great River Rescue. Each year, we find homes for more than 400 animals with responsible pet owners.

For Lake of the Woods County, the Lake of the Woods Humane Society accepts city, county, and surrendered animals. We are a volunteer-run, 501(c)(3) organization with a Minnesota border location in Lake of the Woods County.

The Humane Society of the Lakes' goal is to help unwanted or abandoned animals while they wait for permanent homes. All animals should be treated with respect and dignity, according to our perspective.

In order to put an end to the nightmare of stray cats and dogs, one of The Marshmallow Animal Shelter's key objectives is to assist in educating the public about the advantages of spaying and neutering animals.
