Township Animal Control

In Bemidji, Minnesota, there is a shelter for dogs and cats called Great River Rescue. Each year, we find homes for more than 400 animals with responsible pet owners.

A non-profit 501c(3) organization called The Headwaters Animal Shelter is committed to enhancing the lives of stray, abandoned, neglected, and mistreated animals. Our community's generosity and donations allow us to cover almost all of the costs connected with running the shelter.

Paws+Claws depends on the assistance of other organizations to carry out the job we perform. These groups assist us in a variety of ways, whether they are directly helping Paws+Claws or pursuing the same goal as us.

In order to put an end to the nightmare of stray cats and dogs, one of The Marshmallow Animal Shelter's key objectives is to assist in educating the public about the advantages of spaying and neutering animals.
