Animal Rescue Foundation

The Mobile SPCA is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization with the goal of fostering adoptions, spay and neuter campaigns, transport, responsible pet ownership, and community education. We also provide compassionate care, shelter, food, and medical attention to the animals entrusted to us.

The Mobile County Animal Shelter accepts stray animals brought into our facility from Mobile County's unincorporated areas, but due to space restrictions and limited funding, some animals must be put to death. We work hard to place adoptable animals that we have here at the shelter in loving homes, but with the number of animals being dumped off everyday expanding, we find this to be a more and more difficult task.

The Prichard Animal Shelter in Prichard, Alabama is a shelter for dogs and cats in Mobile County that offers temporary lodging and care for stray, unwanted, and owner-rendered animals. The Prichard Animal Shelter may also provide a wide array of extra services.

Every year, the City of Daphne Animal Shelter takes in between 800 and 1000 animals. Most have either wandered off or been left behind.Adopting a pet from a shelter can provide the animal a fresh start in a caring environment and provide the adopter with a devoted friend. At special events or during kennel hours, you can go see an animal and adopt it.

One of the best save rates in the state of Alabama has been noted for The Haven, a no-kill animal sanctuary. Because of this, a lot of individuals prefer to bring their abandoned pets or stray animals to us instead of bringing them to an open admission animal control center.

A no-kill adoption organization is The Baldwin Humane Society, formerly known as BARC. We were the first animal welfare organization in Baldwin County when we were founded in 1979. Through spaying and neutering, education, rescue, and adoption, we hope to reduce the number of abused and abandoned dogs. We rely only on donations as a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization and do not receive any financing from the government. Every year, we save, rehab, and place hundreds of mistreated, neglected, and abandoned pets.
