As a simple act of kindness to take in a small Yorkie-Pomeranian mix dog named DARBY who had been horribly abused by both an owner and a groomer in the southeast Dallas area in 1994, Darby's Pals Rescue was born, and so began this wonderful adventure!

Mesquite Animal Services provides skilled and compassionate animal care to Mesquite citizens, including illness prevention, adoption, education, and compliance.

Pat and Bill Arnold started Straydog in East Texas. Our work is guided by Pat's vision and unwavering compassion of animals. The mission's foundation was a commitment to the no-kill mission and to the task of rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming abandoned, abused, and surrendered dogs.

We are an animal sanctuary that many refer to as having "High Intake; Low Foot Traffic." Where the 635, 20, and 175 intersect is just south of Dallas, Texas.
