Our goal is to provide a loving haven with wholesome food and veterinary treatment for dogs and cats, as well as a temporary residence for those who can be adopted or given to rescue organizations. Our company works hard to provide a safe sanctuary for dogs and cats who are up for adoption at our dog and cat shelter in Sumter, South Carolina. To provide shelter and protection for the unwanted and abandoned animals in Clarendon County, to make adoptions easier, to encourage population control through spay and neuter initiatives, and to inform the local community about how to care for animals.

The shelter and Friends of Lee County collaborate to save as many animals as possible.

The Animal Protection League of SC was established in 1982 and is a 501(c)(3) charitable, non-profit, no-kill organization. Our mission has been to offer neglected and abandoned dogs and cats in the neighborhood a safe haven and to find them loving, long-term homes.
