The Metter Animal Shelter's goal is to save as many animals as it can while advocating pet alteration to help reduce the pet population. Additionally, we instruct pet owners on how to provide their animals better lives.

The goal of GARD is to decrease the number of dogs and cats that are put to death in shelters through the promotion of spaying and neutering, public awareness campaigns, and the rescue of companion animals that have been abandoned, abused, or neglected from high-kill shelters and placement in devoted, lifelong homes.

To encourage responsible pet ownership, stop the spread of animal diseases, safeguard the public from dangerous animals, and safeguard pets from dangerous humans.

Southern Comfort Animal Rescue, Inc. (SoCo Rescue) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit group that rescues and rehomes companion animals who have been mistreated, unwanted, or abandoned.

Through TVNR (trap, vaccinate, neuter, return), we work to decrease the number of stray pets in Liberty and the surrounding counties while also providing pet owners with spay and neuter assistance.
