The goal of GARD is to decrease the number of dogs and cats that are put to death in shelters through the promotion of spaying and neutering, public awareness campaigns, and the rescue of companion animals that have been abandoned, abused, or neglected from high-kill shelters and placement in devoted, lifelong homes.

A charity organization in Savannah, Georgia called Waters Cat Rescue & Sanctuary is dedicated to enhancing the lives of all surrendered, feral, and stray cats in the area.

The aim of the Humane Society of Statesboro and Bulloch County is to reduce the number of pets in our neighborhood through adoption, spaying and neutering, and education. Making Bulloch County a "no-kill" community is our ultimate goal.
