Partners For Pets Humane Society

The Metro East Humane Society's objective is to enhance animal welfare in the St. Louis Metro East by offering high-quality services for animals, such as adoptions, advocacy, and preventative measures.

The Madison, St. Clair, Jersey, Bond, and Macoupin counties have been served by the Metro East Humane Society since 1986. We achieve this by running a no-kill shelter, offering compassionate medical care, immunizations, and spay/neuter services.

We believe we can help one breed better if we concentrate our efforts, which is why Metro East Lab Rescue only helps Labs. But as we adore all canines and felines, we frequently have a number of non-labs and a number of cats in need of loving homes.

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with foster homes on both sides of the river that specializes in the rescue of small breed dogs.

Ten dedicated volunteers who were convinced that southern Illinois needed a no-kill animal shelter founded the APA in Granite City in March of 1972.
