Animal Protective League

Welcome to Springfield, Illinois-based canine rescue Wild Canine Rescue. Dedicated programs to save lives are preventing healthy canines from being put to death at shelters both locally and nationwide.

Friends of SCAC is a volunteer-run group that works to improve the lives of the dogs and cats at the Sangamon County Animal Control & Adoption Center while they are there and aids in the adoption of these incredible animals.

In Logan County, Illinois, there is a shelter for stray animals called the Humane Society of Logan County. The HSLC began operating as a foster-based shelter and was incorporated as a not-for-profit (501c3) corporation in April 2006.

Logan County Animal Control is under contract with the City of Lincoln to offer animal control services to Lincoln residents.

Animals in the Jacksonville, Illinois, region can be rescued through Protecting Animal Welfare Society. The non-profit, no-kill rescue has assisted in the preservation of over 1065 animals. It's a great idea to adopt a pet from this organization.
