County of Santa Clara Animal Services

We offer treatment and medical aid to harmed, mistreated, abandoned, and young animals. We also pull at-risk animals out of neighborhood shelters.

Thousands of cats have been rescued, assisted, and adopted out to devoted families by Town Cats. As advocates for all cats, it is our mission to lessen the suffering of stray, unwanted, abandoned, and feral cats in Santa Clara County.

A reputable organization, Homey Pet, offers finding shelter for all kinds of animals online. We are here to assist in finding homes for the animals in shelters.

Serving the Santa Cruz County, Santa Cruz City, Scotts Valley, Watsonville, and Capitola, the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter is a non-profit Joint Powers Authority (EIN 90-0039494).

A nonprofit group called FOWAS (Friends Of Watsonville Animal Shelter) is devoted to assisting the animals in Santa Cruz County.

Within the City of Hollister and the County of San Benito, animal control services are provided by the Animal Care & Service Bureau. The Animal Care & Service Bureau of the City of Hollister Police Department is in charge of impounding stray or lost animals, conducting cruelty investigations, controlling rabies, selling dog licenses, filing lost pet reports, providing 24-hour emergency services, enforcing local and state laws, running the animal shelter, running educational initiatives, and managing the animal adoption program.
