A 501 C-3 non-profit, community-based organization, the Rome-Floyd County Humane Society is committed to ensuring the welfare of animals in the Rome/Floyd County region.

Additionally, this department manages an animal adoption program, euthanizes animals, and runs a 38-unit dog and 20-unit cat holding facility.

The Whitfield County Animal Shelter's goal is to give abused, stray, and owner-returned animals temporary housing while also providing a safe environment and the necessary care up until a decision about their future can be made.

The goal of Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue and Adoption, Inc. is to reduce the quantity of animals entering and being put to death at neighborhood shelters by collaborating closely with animal control officers and other rescue organizations.
