Richmond County Animal Shelter

The Anson County Animal Shelter offers a wide range of services for locating and adopting animals in the county.

As a non-profit, the Scotland County Humane Society depends on donations to stay afloat. We are committed to caring for the abandoned, misplaced, abused, confiscated, and surrendered animals in our neighborhood. Finding our animals a loving, permanent home through local adoptions or rescues is one of our top priorities. While they wait to be adopted, every dog and cat in our care has a healthy, clean, secure, and warm environment to live.

A non-profit 501-C3 organization, the Montgomery County Humane Society is a no-kill animal shelter. Since May 2015, when the brand-new institution first opened its doors, animals have been saved and adopted out.

On Monday through Friday, animal control officers are on duty from 7A to 5P. To visit the Montgomery County Animal Shelter for enquiries about adoptions or to surrender an animal, the shelter is open to the public 8A - 3P Monday - Thursday.

Our goal is to ensure that all animals are treated with kindness and respect, and to put an end to euthanasia as a means of reducing the number of pets in our neighborhood.

Through progressive animal welfare initiatives, community outreach, and humane education in a culture of compassion, creativity, and integrity, the Moore County Sheriff's Office Animal Services' mission is to promote an environment of responsible pet ownership while upholding local and state animal laws.
