Rock Springs Animal Control

The Red Desert Humane Society is a nonprofit organization that places animals in new, loving homes after they have been abandoned.

The Green River Animal Control division, often known as ACOs, is housed in the animal shelter. It has two full-time and two part-time animal control officers.

For whatever reason, animals that have lost their family frequently form strong bonds with new, loving families very quickly. With the right care and attention, the majority of animals who leave abusive homes usually have a complete emotional recovery. These animals have the potential to develop into being just as devoted and loyal as those who have not experienced abuse. Strays and "seniors" also adjust well to their new surroundings and are appreciative of it. Animal rescue groups devote a lot of time to caring for and getting to know the animals. The animals receive instruction, medical attention, rehabilitation, food, housing, and, most importantly, compassion. These initiatives make choosing to adopt a rescue animal when seeking for a pet desirable.

We are a nonprofit, 501(c)(3), animal sanctuary and rescue. Along with acting independently to save lives, we work with the city of Lander to provide a safe haven for stray and found dogs.

Cats and dogs can find a warm place to sleep, play, and eat at animal shelters. Each animal is examined by a veterinarian to ensure that it has gotten all necessary vaccines and is being cared for correctly.
