Mercer County Animal Shelter

The homeless, abandoned animals are saved from shelters by the foster-based Southern WV Animal League in Princeton, West Virginia, and placed in new homes.

A 501c3 non-profit group called Second Chance for Cats was founded to spay or neuter homeless cats before finding them homes through adoption, relocation, or release. Our objectives include reducing the number of feral cats in Bluefield, West Virginia, and the surrounding area, as well as providing continuous care for abandoned and homeless cats, such as rabies vaccinations, medical attention, and food.

We believe our staff is top-notch in this area because running a shelter requires true devotion and heart.

Its goal is to stop neglect and animal maltreatment. The Humane Society is a non-governmental organization that, in accordance with the Raleigh County Commission and the City of Beckley, upholds state and local animal legislation.

We are a non-profit, foster-based rescue in Monroe County, West Virginia that assists with spaying and neutering homeless cats and dogs.

The Greenbrier Humane Society was founded in 1965 and became a nonprofit organization in 1986. The GHS has evolved over time to meet the demands of the rural communities it serves. Numerous initiatives are coordinated by the Greenbrier Humane Society. The spay/neuter program, adoption, lost & found, and instructional initiatives with nearby schools are some of these programs.
