Animal Shelter (Portable)

The main shelter and law enforcement organization for domestic animals in Bullitt County, Kentucky, is called Bullitt County Animal Control.

The Kentucky Humane Society is an advocate for pets. We are building more compassionate communities through leadership, instruction, and pro-active solutions.

Protecting public health and safety, ensuring the humane treatment of domesticated animals, and offering the general public high-quality, professional services are the core missions of the Department of Animal Services.

Welcome to Animal House, the adoption center for Louisville Metro Animal Services' homeless shelter animals!

We are breeders of Cane Corso dogs and American Blue Pitbulls. Products from Pitbull Expressions help fund our no kill rescue operation. 

A non-profit 501(c)3 corporation, The Humane Society of Nelson County was established in 1994. All sick and injured animals that end up in the Nelson County Animal Shelter are taken care of by this group.
