Tails of Rescue

With the goal of offering our community a low-cost spay/neuter voucher program to assist decrease the number of unwanted and unmodified cats and kittens, the S.N.A.P. (Spay Neuter and Protect) organization was founded in 2018. S.N.A.P.

Another Chance Animal Welfare League (ACAWL) is a group that rescues animals, primarily cats and dogs, and places them in loving, permanent homes. It is a no kill organization, thus any animals that are brought into the program remain there until they are adopted or they pass away.

Our founders understood that the resources of the city and the county could not support our mission of giving all animals who came through our doors a home and humane treatment.

The pet community should unite and communicate our goals for creating a better world for our furry friends.

As a municipal open shelter, we are obligated to take in any stray dogs discovered in Tehama County. Even though it is not required, we use a waiting list to take in as many cats as our shelter can handle.
