Cape Atlantic Cats

Since 2008, C.A.T.S., a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, has assisted in saving the lives of almost 400 local cats and kittens through rescue, foster care, trap-neuter-return, and placement in loving, permanent homes.

Beacon Animal Rescue is a No-Kill animal shelter whose mission is to save the lives of homeless cats and dogs. We make every effort to save, look after, and place animals in loving homes for those who need it most.

The communities' need for a regional animal control facility led to the creation of the Atlantic County Animal Shelter in 1995.

Our goal is to reduce pet overpopulation through our clinic's spay and neuter services, increase the number of animals adopted into loving families through our shelter, offer a secure habitat for lost or stray animals, and act as a resource for community-wide humane animal education.

We are a breed-specific rescue organization run entirely by volunteers that focuses on the Maine Coon Cat breed. We remove Maine Coon Cat / Kitten hybrids from unwanted settings and shelters.
